The Brief
Thomson Reuters tasked premier Woodshop with designing and building a fully branded experience zone at Legal Tech Talk 2025. The goal was to create a polished seated area for keynote-style presentations, technology demos, and expert sessions — all within a high-footfall exhibition environment. The stand needed to reflect Thomson Reuters' innovation and leadership in legal technology while offering practicality for speaker delivery and delegate seating.
Key objectives included clean sightlines, seamless AV integration, and audience seating with full brand visibility. The resulting design combined a commanding rear AV wall, open seating plan, and sleek finishes to align with the Legal Tech Talk identity.
Pre-Event Preparation
Production began with a complete 3D layout and build plan signed off by the client's event team.
Centre Island & Wall Panels
At the core of the design was a bespoke island structure forming the AV wall. This element housed the 75" LED screen and served as the visual anchor of the zone, wrapped in dark branded panels with edge-to-edge precision.
Flooring & Seating
A raised subfloor of MDF was constructed and finished with light wood-effect vinyl for contrast. Delegate seating was achieved with 30x branded stools placed in clean rows, supported by small side tables and accent furniture.
AV & Technical Setup
Pre-installation included configuring power for the 75" screen, setting speaker podium placement, and testing lighting systems (uplighters and arm lights). All staging elements and accessories were prepared and labelled for rapid installation.
On-Site Execution
The build commenced on 24 June, following a coordinated delivery and unloading plan at InterContinental London – The O2.
Construction & Fit-Out
Subfloor and flooring were laid and aligned, followed by panel assembly for the rear island structure. AV equipment was installed centrally with controlled wiring to keep sightlines clear. Furniture was positioned precisely to maintain aisle spacing and visual balance.
Lighting & Branding
Uplighters illuminated the main wall, while directional arm lights provided stage lighting across the speaker area. The zone branding was carried across every visible surface, including stools, panel prints, and signage.
Final Checks & Approval
All finishes were reviewed with the client, and minor adjustments were made to furniture alignment. The stand was signed off and ready for live sessions the following morning.
Post-Event Wrap-Up
Premier's crew returned at the event close to manage a fast, efficient breakdown and pack-out.
De-Rig & Asset Control
All AV components, seating, and printed items were carefully removed, packed, and loaded. Subfloor and structure were dismantled and transported securely to storage.
Client Feedback
Thomson Reuters was highly impressed by the space's visual impact and functionality. Delegates praised the clarity of presentations and comfortable seating, while organisers noted the efficient delivery and minimal disruption. The Legal Tech Experience Zone was a standout success on the conference floor.
